February 11-20, 2010

February 20, 2010
Lounging around in our room after bathing the girls. Nothing like a movie night before bedtime!

February 19, 2010
I win a gold medal! I entered this scrapbook page in the Freestyle Scrapping category in the Silhouette Winter games, and lo and behold.. I WON the gold medal! What does this mean? $50 to spend at the silhouette store! Happy day!

February 18, 2010
This week our world has turned completely white with fog, cloud cover, and frost covering EVERYTHING in sight! Beautiful.

February 17, 2010
Little miss J cuddling with GIANT teddy. I wonder how long it will be until she out grows him?

February 16, 2010
Today, Maelle Ricker became Canada's first woman to win a gold medal in a Canadian Olympics! The first person to win a gold medal on Canadian soil was Alexandre Bolideau who won gold in Men's Moguls on the 14th! So proud to be Canadian!

February 15, 2010

Today's photo of the day is going to be a shot of an article that will be published in a National Business magazine in which one of my photographs will be featured! SOO exciting for me. I was able to photograph a friend and his boss for an article about their business. I couldn't be happier! I don't want to include a shot of the article here, for obvious reasons.

February 14, 2010
Continuing on the sickeningly sweet Valentine's tradition of decorating HUGE heart cookies! Yum!

February 13, 2010
Me an my sweetheart at the Stake Sweetheart's dance! Nearly 12 years later and still so in love!~
February 12, 2010
I love our downtown buildings in the winter - so quaint and cozy. This is one of our old churches on a cloudy, frosty morning.

February 11, 2010
Meet Lyndon's new friends and co-workers from India! Brave souls to come to Canada in the middle of winter :) Lyndon spread the love with some chocolately valentine's for these guys. It was their first!

February 10, 2010
TJ was lucky enough to represent CANADA at their school Olympics! Eh, Oh! Canada go!!!

February 9, 2010
Toonie Tuesday was the perfect chance to take the girls to see "Twilight Saga: New Moon"! They loved it - even if (or because) it kept them up WAY past their bedtime.

February 8, 2010
I couldn't believe it when I saw this scrapbooking celebrity who left a comment on my blog! I've had a blog crush on Heidi Swapp FOREVAH and the idea that she took time to check out MY blog AND comment? Oh, happy, happy day!

February 7, 2010
A wonderful family in the ward invited our family over to dinner! I had a terrible migraine, so I missed out, but the kids and Lyndon had an awesome time playing with their boys, cuddling their baby girl, and enjoying an amazing chicken dinner. They were even kind enough to send a plate home for me!

February 6, 2010
Spent the day making some fun valentines for the girls' classmates. I love making personalized cards!

February 5, 2010
First evening out with this cute couple from our ward. They are both a tonne of fun, and totally adorable together. Here's to more nights out in the future!

February 4, 2010
Red, white, and pink day was super easy to pull off around our place. I sure love these munchkins!

February 3, 2010
A 32" new (to us) TV! And what better way to break it in than by watching shark week on dvd? Watch out, JJ!

February 2, 2010
Goal: NOT to drink my calories! There are WAY too many yummy things to EAT that use up my calorie count to be drinking them away. Water - we have a love/hate relationship, but I need you. So, like it or not - you're my new best friend!

February 1, 2010
Lyndon is so lucky to have friends who spoil him on his 33rd birthday! He loves sushi, and being treated to an all you can eat place is even better. Thanks, Rob! (and yay for camera phones that are handy when being surprised with lunch!)

January 31, 2010
TJ had an awesome time entertaining our friend's baby girl during dinner. She is so anxious to start babysitting, and when she does.. she'll be amazing!

January 30, 2010
I have been having WAY too much fun making bead watch bands. I think I'm falling in love with beads. ALL beads. I'm becoming a bead monster. Look out, everyone!

January 29, 2010
What a new age we live in! A wonderful way to spend the evening, crowded around the laptop in the kitchen, watching a movie. Nice! At least we have soft kitchen chairs!

January 28, 2010
I turn my back for one minute, and my babies have become cool cats! How did that happen?

January 27, 2010
I caught TJ reading her new favorite book series - "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" at our yearly book and bagel morning at the school. It's interesting when your children become old enough to read the same books YOU are interested in!

January 26, 2010
Tom Yum soup. I don't know who "Tom" is, but this soup sure is YUM!

January 25, 2010

A day after our HUGE snowfall, TJ and B spent the day playing outside in the huge drifts. The snow was deep enough to get lost in! At least, our deck set seems to have disappeared!

January 24, 2010
There's no business like "SNOW" business, and that's just what we had this weekend. The roads closed down, people were stuck left, right, and center - and Lyndon was busy every minute helping people out of drifts, shoveling walks, and even helping to push city buses! Glad I'm married to such a good man!

January 23, 2010
Before our evening at the Regina Symphony Orchestra began, we were treated to some beautiful numbers by these children, who study at the Royal Conservatory of music here in town. They were so good, and SO young!

January 22, 2010
JJ had a blast during this family day at pre-kindergarten where we put together our own books, and she was able to help to bind her own.

January 21, 2010
Life is too short to be taken seriously all the time!

January 20, 2010
One example of my new approach to eating... HEALTHY. You know how they say when you eat healthy, you aren't hungry? Well, they are RIGHT! It's the best.

January 19, 2010
B's ear piercing experience wasn't as pleasant as she hoped for. Instead of having both ears done at the same time, there was only one person working there, so she had to have them done one at a time. It broke my heart to see her in pain, but trying to be so brave. I'm proud of my girl!

January 18, 2010
What started out as a family home evening to get B's ear pierced turned into play time at McDonalds. No ears were punctured, but maybe a few lungs from the squealing with joy!

January 17, 2010
Mother in law has created a monster. A beaded watch making monster! The girls even got hooked designing their own watches and bracelets. I just love creating! Oh, and did I mention that Lyndon got called as the ward Executive Secretary today? Fun stuff!

January 16, 2010
Today was the big day! B was baptized! It was a day full of joy and excitement. We were surrounded by family and dear friends. It was wonderful. We are so pleased with you, Brynae, for choosing to be baptized and for being such a sweet daughter. We love you!

January 15, 2010
The  troops arrived just after lunch time today for their weekend visit. We are blessed with such wonderful cousins for our children. They were so excited to see each other!

January 14, 2010
This is the mother of all crossword puzzles. Over 1300 words. Lyndon and I spent a couple of  hours working on it together and barely got it half done. It wasn't the puzzle that I will remember, but how much we laughed, and how fun it is to have a husband who is willing to join me in my hobbies. He's such an awesome guy!

January 13, 2010
It arrived!!! I was jumping around like a little girl. Meet the new home for my 2010 photo a day:

January 12, 2010
Lyndon was looking through an old day planner from 11 years ago and came across this photo from our engagement days. It made me smile to think how far we've come, but how in love we still are! This was truly a match made in heaven :)

January 11, 2010
BB and JJ have both been sick with colds this week. It's absolutely NO FUN! Especially with the weather warming up this week and all of that delicious snow just asking to be jumped in. Hope you feel better soon!

January 10, 2010
Spending some time coloring a page about our Primary lesson seems to be the favorite activity on Sundays. I just adore the children I teach - they bring me such joy.

January 9, 2010
The Olympic torch made it's way through our city today, and Lyndon took the older 2 girls to enjoy the festivities. It was a once in a lifetime chance for my daughters to be front row as the torch carrier ran past. Awesome!

January 8, 2010
B is an 8 year old. Such a special age to be. She has blossomed into a beauty inside and out. Happy birthday, dear one!

January 7, 2010
Brrr.... I mean, minus 37 degrees is bad enough, but what it doesn't show on this shot was the windchill which made it  minus 48 degrees. Like I said... Brrr....

January 6, 2010
One thing I actually like about frigid temperatures is the way the snow lands on the pine needles and stays there for days. It turns our neighborhood into a winter wonderland!

January 5, 2010

Someone must have switched my children during the night! I awoke to these four munchkins quietly bringing me in this yummy tray of breakfast delights, after which they made their own breakfast and unloaded the dishwasher! I couldn't have raised children this sweet and thoughtful, could I? Okay, I take NO credit for this - they came up with this all on their own. What awesome girls I have!
