TJ had an awesome time entertaining our friend's baby girl during dinner. She is so anxious to start babysitting, and when she does.. she'll be amazing!

I have been having WAY too much fun making bead watch bands. I think I'm falling in love with beads. ALL beads. I'm becoming a bead monster. Look out, everyone!

What a new age we live in! A wonderful way to spend the evening, crowded around the laptop in the kitchen, watching a movie. Nice! At least we have soft kitchen chairs!
January 28, 2010
I turn my back for one minute, and my babies have become cool cats! How did that happen?
January 27, 2010
I caught TJ reading her new favorite book series - "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" at our yearly book and bagel morning at the school. It's interesting when your children become old enough to read the same books YOU are interested in!

Tom Yum soup. I don't know who "Tom" is, but this soup sure is YUM!

A day after our HUGE snowfall, TJ and B spent the day playing outside in the huge drifts. The snow was deep enough to get lost in! At least, our deck set seems to have disappeared!
January 24, 2010
There's no business like "SNOW" business, and that's just what we had this weekend. The roads closed down, people were stuck left, right, and center - and Lyndon was busy every minute helping people out of drifts, shoveling walks, and even helping to push city buses! Glad I'm married to such a good man!

Before our evening at the Regina Symphony Orchestra began, we were treated to some beautiful numbers by these children, who study at the Royal Conservatory of music here in town. They were so good, and SO young!

JJ had a blast during this family day at pre-kindergarten where we put together our own books, and she was able to help to bind her own.

B's ear piercing experience wasn't as pleasant as she hoped for. Instead of having both ears done at the same time, there was only one person working there, so she had to have them done one at a time. It broke my heart to see her in pain, but trying to be so brave. I'm proud of my girl!
January 18, 2010
What started out as a family home evening to get B's ear pierced turned into play time at McDonalds. No ears were punctured, but maybe a few lungs from the squealing with joy!
January 17, 2010
Mother in law has created a monster. A beaded watch making monster! The girls even got hooked designing their own watches and bracelets. I just love creating! Oh, and did I mention that Lyndon got called as the ward Executive Secretary today? Fun stuff!
January 16, 2010
Today was the big day! B was baptized! It was a day full of joy and excitement. We were surrounded by family and dear friends. It was wonderful. We are so pleased with you, Brynae, for choosing to be baptized and for being such a sweet daughter. We love you!
January 15, 2010
The troops arrived just after lunch time today for their weekend visit. We are blessed with such wonderful cousins for our children. They were so excited to see each other!

This is the mother of all crossword puzzles. Over 1300 words. Lyndon and I spent a couple of hours working on it together and barely got it half done. It wasn't the puzzle that I will remember, but how much we laughed, and how fun it is to have a husband who is willing to join me in my hobbies. He's such an awesome guy!

It arrived!!! I was jumping around like a little girl. Meet the new home for my 2010 photo a day:

Lyndon was looking through an old day planner from 11 years ago and came across this photo from our engagement days. It made me smile to think how far we've come, but how in love we still are! This was truly a match made in heaven :)

Spending some time coloring a page about our Primary lesson seems to be the favorite activity on Sundays. I just adore the children I teach - they bring me such joy.

Brrr.... I mean, minus 37 degrees is bad enough, but what it doesn't show on this shot was the windchill which made it minus 48 degrees. Like I said... Brrr....

One thing I actually like about frigid temperatures is the way the snow lands on the pine needles and stays there for days. It turns our neighborhood into a winter wonderland!

BB and JJ have both been sick with colds this week. It's absolutely NO FUN! Especially with the weather warming up this week and all of that delicious snow just asking to be jumped in. Hope you feel better soon!

The Olympic torch made it's way through our city today, and Lyndon took the older 2 girls to enjoy the festivities. It was a once in a lifetime chance for my daughters to be front row as the torch carrier ran past. Awesome!

B is an 8 year old. Such a special age to be. She has blossomed into a beauty inside and out. Happy birthday, dear one!Brrr.... I mean, minus 37 degrees is bad enough, but what it doesn't show on this shot was the windchill which made it minus 48 degrees. Like I said... Brrr....

Someone must have switched my children during the night! I awoke to these four munchkins quietly bringing me in this yummy tray of breakfast delights, after which they made their own breakfast and unloaded the dishwasher! I couldn't have raised children this sweet and thoughtful, could I? Okay, I take NO credit for this - they came up with this all on their own. What awesome girls I have!

The first week of the new year brought some cold temperatures and some beautiful HUGE fluffy snowflakes. I love the snow, but its especially beautiful when watched from inside a warm and toasty house with a mug of hot chocolate.

A wicked head cold hit and stopped me from enjoying 11:30am church for the first time in a year! Since I was home resting, I decided to put together these cute treat bags for my daughter's 8th birthday coming up. Hope the kiddos have a good time!

Just a few of my favorite books (or series). Sometimes I like a deep read, something that makes me think - I especially love books by Sheri Dew or Ferrel for that. I love being made to think in spiritual terms. I also loved reading the true story of Elie Wiesel in his book "Night" where he takes us through his holocaust experience. Then - sometimes I just want an easy read that transports me somewhere out of this world, makes me laugh, makes me smile, makes me keep reading into the night. I like the "Twilight" series, the Harry Potter series, and The Hunger Games series for that. The list could go on - I really love to read! I'll read almost anything, as long as it isn't offensive in content. It makes my mind expand, my heart open just a little wider, and my world become that much bigger. Nothing beats reading!
