May 1 - 31, 2010

May 31, 2010
This is a daily morning ritual. Watching the kiddos lining up in a row, waiting to head into their classrooms. These moments are so sweet to me.

May 30, 2010
A friend saw these on her trip and just had to buy them for me. I guess I'm a twi-hard at heart ;)

May 29, 2010
I love our tulips, even though it seems the blooms are so fleeting. They are there one day, and gone the next.

May 28, 2010
Lyndon took the little girls on another trip to Evraz - this time to feed some carrots to some deer. They finished off the entire bag!

May 27, 2010
It won't be long until school let's out and this little scene (watching my girls coming out their school door) will be put on hold until Autumn. Next year, BB will start grade one and will be staying for lunch with her big sisters. I can't think about how fast they are growing without getting very teary eyed.
May 26, 2010
One of the best sounds in this world, to me, are BB's giggles.

May 25, 2010
Probably my favorite spring-time scent is the lilacs that seem to be in bloom everywhere. It reminds me of my own childhood and our lilac bush in the backyard.

May 24, 2010
Evraz place opened today and we went as a family to enjoy the park and to see some tame wildlife! We spent much of the time feeding an elk who decided he loved us. He would even chase us down the path (from his side of the fence). A great day together!

May 23, 2010
A lazy Sunday spent going to church, visiting, eating, and playing on the computer. Such a nice way to spend time with your cousins!
May 22, 2010
A visit to the city wouldn't be complete without a trip to Milky Way!

May 21, 2010
Apparently even 6 kids are no match for Casey.
May 20, 2010
Tiffany pointed out to me how much my JJ and HER JJ look alike! I agree - especially seeing them together in person. They have the same facial expressions and can give "the look" with their eyes. Such a funny pair!

May 19, 2010
We had an unusually warm week with temperatures up near 30 degrees. Time to break out the sprinkler!

May 18, 2010
The big day! Pirates the Musical was very entertaining and both TJ and B did an amazing job!

May 17, 2010
Juicy, sweet, strawberries after a run through the sprinkler. Need I say more?

May 16, 2010
I love being in Primary each Sunday. I think so many amazing people serve in there, and there is always a LOT to learn from the kids. This week JJ and BB got to be music helpers and help us learn the words to "Nephi's Courage".

May 15, 2010
One of the things I love most about living here is the  beautiful lake area around the Legislative building. It's a great place to spend an afternoon, chasing the ducks and enjoying the sunshine!

May 14, 2010
A special day on two counts. It's my dad's birthday, AND it was Bryson Pouwer's big debut into the world! Nice work, Jules!

May 13, 2010
First time ever going to the Art Gallery here in town, and it was on a field trip with JJ's pre-k class. We learned about landscape paintings and the kids were able to create their own. JJ created a picture of a lake with a rock and some hills. A masterpiece!

May 12, 2010
Maybe the MOST fun photo session ever. We had so much fun playing around with different locations, light, and poses. I feel like I stretched myself creatively and kind of pushed my own boundaries. It was so good for me!

May 11, 2010
BB enjoyed a play date with her friend, "A", from church. They are so similar in their little personalities. It's fun to watch them playing together.

May 10, 2010
I did not know until today that cows were cowardly little creatures. I barely walked up (slowly, mind you) to the fence to say hello, and this whole herd took off running. I guess I'm a pretty intimidating figure!

May 9, 2010
Mother's Day started off on a wonderful foot with this wonderful breakfast in bed, delivered by my gorgeous girls and their daddy. I never understood how much I could love a paper bouquet or handprint flowers until I became a mother.

May 8, 2010
We made the drive out to Regina Beach to visit a couple of amazing ladies in our ward. On the way we were treated with this amazing sight - I was awed by the beauty of the light piercing the clouds. I just had to stop to capture it.

May 7, 2010
TJ planned this fun Ice Cream Sundae party for the girls in her Primary class. She doesn't often get a chance to socialize with them, so she thought this party would be a fun idea. She made the invites and handed them out the week before. Every one of the girls except one were able to make it. It was an evening full of sugar and giggles.

May 6, 2010
I know that Spring is officially here when I hear the sound of the lawn mowers going throughout the neighborhood. Nothing says "Spring" like the smell of freshly mowed grass!

May 5, 2010
I love the kids in my Primary class. One of the BEST things about them is all of the gorgeous pictures they bring to me, especially little miss "K". She brought this amazing butterfly picture that she must have worked VERY hard on. I never leave my class on Sunday without feeling SO loved and appreciated.

May 4, 2010
TJ used her own money to buy a little friend for Patches. We welcomed grey little "CC" (Cookies and Cream) into the family. We think he's a boy, like Patches, but Patches isn't so sure.

May 3, 2010
BB has turned into a real biker chick! She loves to ride her bike to school with her big sisters, even when it's a little chilly outside.
May 2, 2010
I found this adorable photo on our camera after Lyndon took the girls for an outing. I couldn't possibly love my man more!

May 1, 2010
Blowing off some steam scrapbooking with my girls - Sara, Ailyn, and Pam.
